On January 22, 1967, Minnesota Public Radio went live with a concert by the Cleveland Orchestra. Ever since, with your support, we’ve informed, inspired, entertained and energized audiences across Minnesota.
Throughout 2017, we’ll be engaging with communities across all three of our services — on air, online, in person and across the state to show our appreciation for what we’ve achieved together, and to demonstrate where we plan on taking audiences next. We’ll be sharing highlights from our 50-year archive of local and national arts and culture coverage, connecting the past to the present, and looking to the future as we announce new programs and partnerships throughout the year.
All year long, we’ll announce events and activities that invite audiences to experience MPR in big and small ways, that surprise and delight, and that give us the opportunity to show you just how grateful we are for the trust and support you have demonstrated to us – whether you’re a long-time member or a first-time listener.
Stay tuned to MPR News, Classical MPR and The Current as the employees and staff of all of Minnesota Public Radio come together this year to say: Thank you for getting us to 50 years, and we hope you stay with us for the next 50.
